Through the seaweed, this hand painted and screen printed salmon drifts through the blades of undulating stringer seaweed of greens and blues. The sea floor is comprised of glass frit. Fish is painted onto a piece of clear sheet glass and base glass is clear with stringers.
I used olive green high fire glass enamels in the fishes backs and pearlescent enamels in their bellies to create a more realistic likeness.
This fused glass panel measures approximately 9 1/2” x 6”.
